Things You Should Never do While Driving

1. Eat Chicken Wings
2. Read a paperback
3. Turn into on coming traffic
4. Sing so loudly people in other cars turn to stare at you.

I'm really proud to say not only have I done all of these things in the past twenty-four hours, but I've lived to tell tale. That's an accomplishment to be sure.

I met with my writing group tonight, and it was great. Yesterday my friend Kevin and I got together and talked shop for a while (By this I mean our usual routine of talking about Kevin's new system for writing and how we'd like to sell out.) Anyway, it's been a good couple of days to get me thinking about the kinds of things I need to do to get my writing career off the ground.

My roommate Sali and her friend Michelle are watching the Red Sox as I write this and I have to tell you, it's the most nerve-racking thing. I want them to win, I do. I love the Red Sox. But I get so tense watching October baseball. I don't know what I'll do when they get to the World Series - leave town, probably. I'm trying to ignore the game, but I can't.

I realized how little I update this journal lately, which is sad. I've been talking to one of my co-workers about what I need to do to get a writing website - she designs them as a side business - and she made some suggestions. What I really need to do - website aside - is concentrate on getting something published in paper - for real. Anyway, the point is I have to write.

Oh God, the Rex Sox are going into the bottom of the 11th. I don't know how much of this I can take.
