Super Nerd

So, my friends Amy and Michelle, sent me a flash drive, which is a neat little gadget you plug into your USB port on your computer, and it holds all kinds of stuff. A small little thing about the size of cigarette lighter, and it holds about 250 disks worth of information. I now carry it with me everywhere. Just when I thought I had the nerd in me pretty well hidden, BOOM, she's back with a vengeance. Carrying around my flash drive is the twenty-first century equivalent to a pocket protector. It's practically the badge that says "Super Nerd." And, yet, will I stop carrying it around? No, I've even named it: Bob.

The best part, really, is that having the flash drive has given me a push in the right direction, writing-wise. Since I got it four days ago, I've been writing non-stop, even when I'm supposed to do other things. Still, writing is writing and if I ever want to not have to do the job I do, I'm going to have to get moving.

Speaking of not working: I'm looking forward to going on vacation. 9 more days and I'm off to Sunny California to meet my nephew and not think about work for a whole week. It can't come fast enough.
Seriously.
